DIET



When I first wrote this information sheet nearly 20 years ago now, the change in diet that I was proposing was seriously radical to most people. However, I have noticed of late, that awareness has grown in our society and many people have come to these conclusions about our toxic diet and begun making most of these changes for themselves

The most important change you should make with a diagnosis of cancer is to
1. Get as many health promoting immune boosting nutrients into you as possible. Always ORGANIC if possible
2. Eliminate toxins
3. Get your cellular pH into the alkaline range


How to do this easily and most effectively is .....
 6 freshly squeezed organic juices per day, until you are well.  The main 2 ingredients in all the juices must be carrots and lemon, then you can vary the other ingredients with each glass.  I suggest adding apples and other fruit for the morning juice and progressively through out the day add more fresh vegetables and herbs preferably picked straight from your garden.
The juices provide you with "super nutrition" straight into the blood stream.
The pH is very alkaline
Organic has no toxins and your body will release the toxins it is holding on to


As well as the juices you need to eat as much raw organic foods as possible
    For breakfast
  •   I make a smoothie every morning containing about 16 ingredients to insure I get it all in one go!. Remember ALL organic....... 

-2 or 3 fruits for taste and always a lemon (plus a little zest),

-garden greens and herbs picked straight from the garden to give you the bio-photons (the life force)

-  Add super foods, whatever you have and as many as yopu like (you can vary these) such as cinniamon, tumeric, chia, maca, cocao, honey, spirulina, chlorella, goji berries 

- Large teaspoon of coconut oil and/or flax

- A good protein powder such as Nutrishake or /and 

 - A raw egg

- nuts and srouting seeds  Seeds are nature’s energy provider, as well as a good range of essential oils, vitamins and minerals.


Alternatively or additionally
 You can also have a plate of raw organic oats (soaked in apple juice) to which you can add raisins, cranberries, fresh fruit, coconut oil, xylatol.


For the other meals

  •  Eat fresh raw salads with each meal, with bean sprout a main ingredient ...all organically grown, if possible!  
  • Eat Broccoli daily if possible, cooked or raw
  • Add tumeric to many dishes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO ELIMINATE OR REDUCE
  • MEAT
    When fighting a diseased condition , cut out meat completely. The ENERGY and enzymes required to break down these proteins are really needed to break down cancer cells, so don’t waste it! (It is best to cut out all animal proteins, as it requires enormous amounts of energy to break the protein down into amino acids, and a sick person doesn't have that sort of energy…. What happens is that the proteins are only partially digested and so rot in the gut, producing toxins.) If you do not have any animal protein then it is important to get your amino acids (basic protein builders) in the right proportions as follows:- To replace animal proteins, it is essential to eat two of the following foods at each meal ... a) pulses (legumes), bean sprouts etc, b) nuts (except peanuts, which are carcinogenic), almonds are the best, c) grains such as oats, wheat, brown rice, millet, quinoa etc. OR take a supplementary Amino Acid shake. ( the one I recommend is the GNLD NUTRISHAKE )
Another important reason to cut out meat is that the environmental carcinogenic poisons and oestrogen accumulate in the fat of animals. We don’t need more poisons to contend with nor the cancer stimulating effect of unopposed oestrogen.!

  • ANIMAL FAT
 Cut fat intake by half.... only consume virgin pressed oils and organic animal fat and never heat these to smoking point … so no “braais or barbeques”. In fact stop all fried foods, and only use olive oil when you have to cook in oil and add it after you have put the food into the frying pan. Use organic butter (not marg) on your bread. Avoid heated oils (i.e. most oils from a supermarket!!) and never touch margarine as they have trans-fatty acids which are carcinogenic and also the chief cause of all heart disease. 
Do use ONLY virgin pressed oils in salad dressings. You need the essential fatty acids daily so make sure you get an adequate supply. Flax oil added to a salad dressing provides you with the Omega 3 fatty acids.
  • COFFEE AND TEA
No coffee, tea or chocolate, (85% dark chocolate is a health food, whereas most chocolates you buy are just sugar) as these are stimulants and poisons, and burden the liver. Rooibos is the best substitute, or other herb teas. Drink 7 glasses of energized water per day (leave the purified water in the sun or put a crystal in it)

  • CHEMICALS
Cut out all preservatives completely. No cooldrinks, tinned foods, prepared foods with preservatives etc. I suggest liquefying or juicing your own fruit juices and - carrot juice is the most important juice of all.

  • ALCOHOL
!! You are allowed 1 glass of organic red wine a night as this can stimulates the immune system, but no more as it is a strain on the liver. 
  • BREAD   grains in general are not good, so if you can do without this completely, that's best, if not, then
Only organic whole-wheat brown bread, rye or health bread to be eaten, cut out white bread, and in fact, cut out all refined carbohydrates Bought bread (unless home baked), is so full of preservatives and additives that it has now become a health risk
  • SALT 
Cut out table salt as this destroys the potassium/sodium balance... causes stress. An alternative is sea salt and the best is Himalayan salt. This provides you with essential mionerals in the right balance, whereas table salt gives you only sodium and causes severe mineral imbalances..

  • SUGAR.
ELIMINATE sucrose completely.  This is the ‘sweetest poison of all’ ! It uses up precious B vitamins and calcium and disturbs gastrointestinal tract. It is a real poison to the body and causes a state of “Insulin resistance” which destroys hormonal balance. It is the most acidic food on the market and stimulates the growth of parasite, fungus, bacteria and viruses ! Use honey as a substitute or stevia or xylatol. Never use Aspartame, this is very carcinogenic.
You can substitute with honey or Xylatol

RESTORE THE CORRECT PH ON THE BODY
The correct pH balance is imperative in healing. You will achieve the correct pH by following the above diet suggestions. If your system is acidic this encourages cancer cell growth, and the proliferation of all pathogens. If your system is alkaline, cancer cells cannot grow, bacteria and virus cannot survive and parasites do not have a chance ! Read the pH Miracle by Robert Brigham



SUPPLEMENTS

  • Vitamin supplements are very important to get our immune systems stimulated and back on top , and in the food today, we do not get enough of these essential substances, You need to take the following:

    • Vitamin C in megadoses. The Bristol Clinic recommends 4 to 6 grams per day for the rest of your life. Patrick Holford recommends 10 gms/day taken 2 gms every 2 hours. (Yes, grams, not mgs). This, with Vitamin A, block the formation of cancer causing agents and stimulates the immune system.

    • Vitamin B complex in large doses. (sustained release Vitamin B, one per day is sufficient, or take any ‘good” supplement from a Health shop). Vit C & B are essential for the management of stress.

    • A full antioxidant formula which supplies all the regular antioxidants such as . Take 2 per day after an initial detoxifying program of 6 per day. The only full antioxidant formula that I know of is a GNLD product, called BETA GUARD, which has Vit C, Beta Carotene, Vit E, Zinc, Selenium, Chromium and more, in it’s formulation. Also the Super Anti-oxidants, Carotenoids, Flavonoids boost the immune system and with Cruciferous activelydestroys cancer cells.. (The Carotenoids boost the immune system by 37% in just 20 days, and protect each cell from free radical attack (these are the substances responsible for the degenerative (aging) processes in the body, they break down cell-walls, cause cross linking of protein, and interfere with our genetic material in the nucleus of each cell, leading to cancer cell formation). The flavonoids retard cancer growth rate by 90%.)

    • These super antioxidants are excellent when undergoing Chemotherapy, as they cause the white blood cell count to come back to normal in no time at all. They also protect you against the increased free radical attack of RADIATION therapy.

    • CRUCIFEROUS is a natural product made from the cruciferous group of vegetables which produces an enzyme in your body that actively consumes cancer cells and neutralizes carcinogens. Concentrate on eating as many coloured fruit and vegetables as you can. These contain high quantities of the Carotenoids and Flavonoids

    • Omega 3 is so important to health, it must be added to the list, and taken 3 per day

    • ALOE VERA drink is wonderful during stressful periods, eg, Chemotherapy  and radiation.

    • A cape herb called Sutherlandia is excellent at pushing up the immune system, and is known as the “cancer bush”.

    • Recently the GLYCO-NUTRIENTS are proving to be very powerful anti-cancer nutrients.

  • SUNBATHING FOR 20 MINUTES A DAY BETWEEN 10 – 2PM. To get your    Vitamin D. Vit D is vitally necessary for the immune system to work. 
Yes, I know you have been told all your life that the sun is dangerous and causes skin cancer, and to always use sun blocks. Sun BURN is to be avoided, but healthy sun bathing is essential. Melignant melonoma is NOT caused by the sun, it could be caused by too little sun or possibly the use of toxic sunscreen!. In Africa, the most common place for Melanomas in the african population is on the soles of their feet..... which never see the sun.
