What are Emotions and what do we do with them
Emotions can be described as reactions and/or responses to internal or external events which have a particular significance to our whole organism, which influences our mental and physical body and our behaviour towards ourselves and others.
Emotions need to be addressed if they have a negative or destructive influence on us or others.
Emotional pain CANNOT BE TREATED BY TALKING alone, by physical massage or by chemical means; it must be treated at the same level where it has arisen in the first place, namely at the emotional / energy level.
Trauma psychological trauma is a type of damage to the psyche that occurs as a result of a severely distressing event or multiple events (of the same kind), which when it/they remain/s unresolved can lead to physical manifestations of illness.
Traumas need to be addressed if they have a negative or destructive influence on us or others.
So that means it is advisable and highly beneficial to resolve and let go of any trauma and negative emotions we still hold, to achieve and maintain optimal health on all levels.
How do we do that?
We are extremely fortunate that these days with access to the internet we can connect with the rest of the world and what it has to offer. There are wonderful people that have done some major work in this field of healing. There are probably as many modalities as there are problems, we just have to find the ones that work for us as individuals.
We are all different and therefore approach ourselves and our life issues in very different ways.
The first thing that is required of us is the willingness to look at ourselves, what works or does not work and what changes we are willing to make.
The second important point is to recognise that we can not change others or what faces us at this moment, only ourselves and the way we choose to see and respond to any situation confronting us.
Past experiences, traumas, circumstances and beliefs are what have shaped us and how we see the world and everything in it.
