Testimonies from those who have been on a QHE
Hi Sally,
I am sitting at the airport waiting to board and decided it was the perfect time to type you a mail! I would like to thank you for an amazing 3 days. You are a very special lady with a great gift for teaching.
Good news... I have bought my first jar of Naturone and can't wait to start using it. I have a very good feeling about it. ( I have already recommended it to 2 people!)
As I mentioned to you before, I am very keen to pursue nutrition as a way to heal and be healthy. I know you are a nutritionist and wanted to know if you could recommend a course in nutrition?
I am studying and learning macrobiotics and other diet philosophies like the raw food diet but would like to have a better understanding of nutrition from a holistic point of view.
I work for my best friends father in law and he and I have been looking at the possibility of opening a wellness centre in Johannesburg. We were initially running business courses for pharmacists (we covered some of the stuff to do with belief changes etc) but we both have a huge passion for and interest in health each for our own reasons. I would love to keep in touch with you as things progress as I am sure the big thing we have been missing is the impact of hormones on out wellbeing.
Thank you again for a wonderful few days. I am very positive about my fertility now and look forward to phoning you with goods news soon! :)
Also wanted to thank you for being so frank and sincere about your own journey - I was very encouraged by everything you shared.
Take care,
Love,
M

Hi Sally,
R's email and the past weekend still fresh in my mind prompted me to finally also put my experience on electronic paper.
I think this weekend's refresher made me realise just how far I've come since May last year (I don't think I truly realised just how far, because the changes has been spread across a period of 10 months). I knew that I've been implementing a lot of the things I learned on your course, but the thing that made me realise exactly just how far I've come, was doing the Shadows questionnaire again yesterday. Going from 6 shadows being out of balance 10 months ago to almost none is remarkable. And this served as confirmation to me that I'm doing something right. I believe that I still have a few emotional blocks to work through, but otherwise I am in better shape than I have ever been in my entire life.
When I got breast cancer in December 2004, I was a sad, scared, vulnerable, insecure person inside. I grew up in a house where my father emotionally abused us from an early age. I was an extremely sensitive child and a lot of damage was done. I only see now where my abuse of drugs and alcohol came from and why I tried to use it as coping mechanisms. On top of this I was also raped and this completely demolished my boundaries for a very long time. I was on a road of self destruction and was just not connected to me at all. I abused my body by not looking after itself, not eating correctly, not exercising and a lot of work stress on top of that. So, it's really no surprise to me now why I got cancer.
Miraculously I heard about you and your course and off I went to McGregor to attempt to make a start on fixing myself. You said so many true things that week, but the thing that I will always remember is that you said you will always be grateful that you got cancer. I immediately new, that that is where I want to be some day. And ever since that's been my goal. I know I will reach it and some day is suddenly not so far away any more. I have changed my life completely since last year. I joined a breast cancer survivor dragonboat team and we practice twice a week. We went to the World championship in Singapore last year and won a silver medal! I've lost 12kg since we started eating correctly and are feeling great. The biggest, and probably the most difficult change was coming to the realisation that we had to sell our business, but a few months on now I look back and realise that that stress would have killed both R and I and cost us our marriage. I am stronger, healthier, fitter and happier than I've ever been and I have you to thank for the part you played in this Sally. You touched my soul and inspired me. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, love, passion and calling with us. And know that although you might not be able to reach every single person every time, there are some of us that will never look back again.
With much love and gratitude,
E

Dear Sally
I have been meaning to write to you since my return, however once back in ‘the big smoke’ things tend to go haywire. I am reeling after a week of chemo – body frail, but mentally good. I really enjoyed the course but felt we needed an extra day. The content was fantastic and for me personally it could not have come at a better time. I feel mentally liberated for the first time in about 20 years! I am now officially unemployed, ‘have even declined the consulting job offered to me – so I am now free to concentrate on wellness and structuring my future in a positive way. Life is strange; and your course has opened up new alternatives of living this fabulous life in a more congruent and positive way. In a perverse way, cancer is a good thing.
I am meeting other people at the oncology centre and telling them about the course, for those interested can I forward them the information?
I trust you are both in fine spirits and health.
Love
Louise

Hi Sally
I have thought about your workshop so much over the last week, in fact "thought about" would be the wrong way to describe it as what I learnt and discovered during that time has become part of me and is with me all the time. So in fact I came home a different person, and the way I feel now and the relief I feel is actually thanks to you and the effort you put into those four days. So I really just want to say thank you so much for what you did.
Firstly the workshop was so well planned - with the perfect mix of information, wonderful and special people, self discovery, therapies and location, and secondly, for me it managed to lift a useless, negative thought pattern that had outstayed its welcome and should have been kicked out of my "mind house" long ago. I feel so much lighter, and positive and have an energy for the future which I had forgotten about.
Please send Pip my regards and hope to hear from you soon.
I might send Jon's shadow questionnaire through to you - it would be great to see what he comes out with!
Thanks again,
Lots of love
Mel

Dear Sally and Pip
I can’t believe it’s a week since we had the workshop. It was so powerful that I cannot even start to explain how much it changed my life in every sense of the word. I am applying a lot of what we learned during the 4 days and truly feel like a new, charged Eldré and it’s all thanks to you guys. I feel that I dealt with a lot of old and new pain there and that I left it behind in McGregor. You are an inspiration and example to all of us and my aim is to one day also be able to say that I am thankful I got cancer.
Love

Dear Sally and Pip,
I would like to personally thank both of you for the wonderful and uplifting experience at Temenos. I am so glad that I attended the retreat with Niel - it really helps to understand what is happening and certainly validates the 'two heads are better than one' - we have twice the memory bank! I think that if 'couples' could attend your retreats together, the benefits would be much enhanced. My personal feelings are that, excluding the actual presence of cancer, the 'partner' shares in all the fears and trauma, but has to maintain a stance of strength, calm and confidence. You must know, Pip, this is one hell of a lonely place to be in, especially as (in my experience) one cannot even voice the concerns aloud - they just sit in your head and heart. Niel and I are fortunate in that we have a very open and loving relationship (this probably because we met lateish in life!), but I feel such compassion for those who are unable to share the experience and so lighten the load. The time at Temenos helped me to voice my thoughts in a clear and calm way - Thank-you.

Hi sally!
Thank you so much for the time you have spent talking to my sister and my mom!! We are so grateful. My mum said that she feels like she has known you all her life. Which makes me feel safe!
I have an understanding of healing and work mostly with horses. but some how being so close to home scares me so much. I have just had a little boy ( 8 Days ago) I have known mom has cancer long before she found out. she was married o a very very difficult man and allowed to be abused in so many ways. the worst being emotionally. when she came out of theater in november 2006 from having the colon cancer removed , she asked me to move her stuff out of there room. she realised there and then what had been the root of her cancer and decided to cut it out of her life. she divorced my dad . the last 14 months have been so hard on her!
why i am telling you is that you know how low on energy she is at the moment.
i know that you are leaving for aus very soon. please would you tell me quite specifically what she should be eating? I know she has spoken to you but she seems to be very forgetful the last two weeks. it is strange to see her so weak.
please tell me if i can donate or pay for your time. I know that it is a calling, but we all must exchange something for something.
you are a true earth angel. and just your voice today uplifted my mom.
thank you so much. I wish I had a gift of writting so that i could express how grateful we are
lots of love and light!

From Marty who had liver cancer
Since adopting Sally Longden's teachings learnt on the Quantum Healing Retreat, my health has never been better....tumour markers excellent! She taught me to heal myself....her course was invaluable and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone suffering with an illness of the mind or body, particularly cancer.

Rose de la Hunt – Holistic Cancer Workshop 2006. Creator of Odyssey Magazine
Something new that happened at Temenos recently was Sally Longden’s first workshop offering a holistic approach to cancer. All those who participated were facing the challenge of cancer in their lives, and most of them had travelled long distances to be there. Others had rearranged their chemotherapy schedules to be able to attend. Over an intensive four days – packed with informative talks, videos, discussions, shared stories, daily individual counselling sessions, massage and other body therapies, yoga, meditation, and nutritious meals – the group bonded into a caring and supportive whole. Several of the participants, themselves therapists and experts in their own health fields, contributed their professional knowledge and expertise.
Sally is an overflowing fount of information on a range of topics relevant to people dealing with cancer, among them: nutrition, juicing, hormone imbalance, environmental toxins and carcinogenic hazards, stress, unexpressed emotions, the immune system, quantum physics, energy and the relationship between mind and matter. She has much to offer on identifying your shadows, facing your fears and reprogramming your thinking patterns. ‘You are the gardener of your conscious mind,’ she says. It is our choice which thoughts to plant, which to weed out, which to nourish and nurture so that they can take root and grow. All these and other topics were brought together in a way designed to awaken awareness and enhance a sense of self-empowerment in people who are responding to the impact of cancer on their lives.
Following the positive feedback received from this very successful workshop, Sally will present another similar one early in May.
