THE SMOOTHIE
The nutritional answer to a busy life
Many people are just too busy to constantly be thinking about food. I am sure many of you think that if only you could take a pill in the morning to fulfil all of your nutritional needs for the day, this would solve the problem. It won't !
A pill is definitely NOT the answer, but a SMOOTHIE is !
This will not only fill your nutritional needs, but will super-boost you for the entire day.
With the amazing abundance of smoothie friendly fruits; vegetables; nuts and superfood powders, you have the opportunity to raise your standard of health, vitality, energy levvels and of course give you that peace of mind, knowing you have given your cells what they need to be perfect to make healthy organs.
A small tip here … remember to “chew” your smoothie ! Make saliva with each mouthful to awake your digestion or you will not be absorbing the nutrients and will be wasting all that precious super food.
A simple basic recipe …
all ingredients to be thrown into your blender
1 apple (pips and all)
1 banana (or any other fruit)
½ and lemon …. juice and a bit of zest
Berries or dried berries
Handfuls of Greens and herbs from the garden (for added energy boost)
1 Tsp coconut oil
1 Tsp Seeds (especially flax. Pumpkin and sunflower) or sprouts
a Handful of Nuts
1 raw organic egg (optional)
cinnamon and tumeric (optional but are very anti-cancer)
Any super foods you may have ...Maca, raw cocao, gogi berries, Moringa leaf powder, Chia seeds, Baobab powder.
Now there is more in that smoothie than in any “meal” you could have ! And it will probably last the whole day.
If you suffer from constipation, add a tsp of Psyllium husk, stir and drink immediately (or it turns the whole drink into a 'jelly')
Ideally, all ingredients should organic as far as possible.
